Hyderabad: The activists of different students’ organizations here on Friday made an attempt to lay a siege to the Ministers Quarters complex at Banjara Hills. However, their attempts were foiled by the police.
The agitation program was organized demanding compensation to the family members of all Intermediate examination victims, who had committed suicide after declaration of the results recently. The students demanded that the government pay an ex gratia of Rs 1 crore and suspension of Education Minister from the cabinet. They also raised slogans against the State government and officials of the Board of Intermediate Education. Tense moments prevailed when the police tried to arrest the protesters. (NSS)
