Uttar Pradesh BJP general Secretary (organization) Sunil Bansal has been appointed the party’s national general secretary.
Jharkhand BJP general secretary (organization) Dharampal has replaced Sunil Bansal in Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh BJP joint general secretary (organization) Karamveer has replaced Dharampal in Jharkhand.
In a statement party, national general secretary Arun Singh said, “BJP President J P Nadda has appointed Sunil Bansal, general secretary (organization) Uttar Pradesh, as national general secretary. He has been given the responsibility of the state in charge of West Bengal, Telangana, and Odisha. The appointment is effective from immediate effect.”

In another statement, Singh said, “BJP president J P Nadda has appointed Dharampal, general secretary (organization) Jharkhand, as general secretary (organization) of Uttar Pradesh.”
“Party president has appointed Karamveer, joint general secretary (organization) Uttar Pradesh, as general secretary (organization) Jharkhand. The appointment is effective from immediate effect,” the statement added.
Sunil Bansal played a key role in BJP’s electoral success in Uttar Pradesh from the 2014 Lok Sabha polls to this year’s assembly polls. Sunil Bansal replaced Kailash Vijayvargiya in West Bengal as the state in charge and Tarun Chugh in Telangana.
