Hyderabad City Police took Suo-Moto cognizance and booked criminal cases against a Social activist Syed Abdahu Kashaf and Congress leader Mohd. Rashed Khan for provocative statements in view of their protest against BJP MLA T Raja Singh a Rowdy sheeter of Mangalhat Police Station for his blasphemous video statement against Prophet Mohammed.
In a press conference the Hyderabad City Police stated that Syed AbdahuKashaf had given an outrageous and highly objectionable statement and is a direct incitement of violence apart from promoting enmity in different groups, Also stated that He posted on twitter with his twitter handle “syedkashaf95”. The very alarming statement intended to provoke a breach of peace.
Accordingly, they have taken a Suo-motto cognizance and a case was registered under CyberCrime Police station.
Investigation was taken up swiftly and evidences was collected.
Also stated that After quick preliminary investigation Syed Abdahu Kashaf was arrested by CyberCrime PS Under Section 153(A), 505(2) & 504 IPC and produced before the Hon’ble Magistrate with a request to remand him to judicial custody as he may repeat and may tamper evidences. However, he was released on personal bond.
Further, a case was also registered against Telangana Congress leader Rashid Khan Under section 153(A), 505(2) & 504 IPC for giving an offensive statement and promoting enmity between different groups.
The Investigation is in progress and a strict legal action will be taken against him as per the evidence gathered.
Further, they also stated in their press conference that no such offensive and objectionable statements, spewing venom and creating hatred, enmity and trying to disrupt peace and tranquillity of Hyderabad city should be made, by anyone, of any community. Exemplary deterrent and stern action will be taking against anyone trying to do so. They are identifying others who have posted such inflammatory videos and will be acting sternly against them as per law.
