After attending nine hours of questioning in Delhi Liquor Scam on last Saturday, the BRS MLC K.Kavitha – the daughter of Chief Minister K.Chandrashekher Rao, has now making-up her mind for the next round of face-off with the officials from Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 16 in New Delhi.
Talking to the media today, Kavitha said she will appear before the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday as summoned by the investing agency. Kavitha assured that she will talk to the media even before appearing in the ED tomorrow in New Delhi.
She reteriates that the fight for women’s reservation bill will not go off the track what may come her way as his party is in full favour of giving more opportunities to the women folk in every sphere of life. She clarified that the BRS party will pressurise the government for placing the bill in Parliament.
After nine long hours of questioning on March 11 in New Delhi, the ED officials questioning Kavitha in Delhi Liquor Scam let her go but asked her to appear before the agency again on March 16 for further questioning. Kavitha reached back Hyderabad at the death of the same night where she reportedly discussed the whole issue with her father and other legal experts.
During the interrogation, the ED officials rained queries on Kavitha about her involvement in liquor scam. Although the BRS MLC stepped into ED office at 11.00 am in the morning on Saturday, she was told to leave only at 8.00 pm in the night after nine long hours of questioning on day one. She has to appear before the agency again on March 16 for which Kavitha said she is making up her mind again to attend the second round of questioning.
What appears more surprising is the whole episode wherein the investigating officials told Kavitha to produce her personal mobile phone before the ED. It is said that the moment she reached the ED office in Delhi, the investigating officials asked to produce her mobile to which she replied that it was left behind her Delhi’s residence. Hearing this, the ED officials asked her to bring back the mobile she is presently using that forced Kavitha to roped-in her staff to get it back to her. Later, the staff got the mobile back to her and handed it over to the investigating officials.
It is said that the ED officials even gathered the whole data stored in the mobiles being used by Kavitha in the past. They even accused Kavith of using two mobiles and changing atleast 10 SIM cards ever since the Delhi Liquor scam came to fore. The investigating officials reportedly try to inquire about her role in liquor scame, her relationship with the accused in the scam, the quantum of shares she have in Indo Spirits company and about Rs.100 crore donations involved in the scam.
Meanwhile, the BRS leaders and cadre are on pins and needles over the next round of interrogation on Thursday. They spent the whole day protesting against the centre’s witchunting of opposition leaders on last Saturday that prompted the police to be on their toes the whole day at Kavith’s residence in New Delhi.
