Syed Owaisuddin, a fourth-year BA LLB student at Sultan Ul Uloom College of Law, has been appointed as the captain of the Osmania University (OU) Men’s Football Team for the upcoming All India Intervarsity Football Championship 2024-25. The prestigious tournament, organized by Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, is set to commence on January 29 and will run until February 6, 2025.
Owaisuddin, who has shown exceptional leadership and skill on the field, will lead a 22-member squad representing Osmania University in the highly competitive championship. The team aims to showcase its talent and determination as it competes against some of the best university teams across the country.
The coaching staff is also set to bring valuable experience to the team. Mr. C. Sandeep Reddy, the Physical Director of Loyola Academy, has been appointed as the team’s Manager, while Mr. B. Avinash will serve as the team’s Coach. Together, they are committed to preparing the players for a successful campaign in the tournament.
