A 15-year-old girl died after allegedly being gang-raped by four unidentified men in Appannapet, Peddapalli district. The victim’s family had moved to Peddapalli from Madhya Pradesh to work in a brick kiln, and both of her parents are day laborers.
The upsetting incident allegedly occurred two days previously but was only brought to light on Thursday after police received a tip. According to accounts, the girl was raped on the outskirts of Peddapalli by four people and received serious injuries. She died as her parents were bringing her to Madhya Pradesh from her injuries.
Fearing penalties, the parents first kept the tragedy buried and went on to conduct their daughter’s burial rituals while traveling to Madhya Pradesh.The police have initiated an inquiry into the incident and are attempting to identify and apprehend the offenders. More information is expected to emerge as the inquiry continues.
