Empowerment campaign initiated by the Army

An empowerment campaign for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) has been initiated by the Indian Army as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav under the slogan Embrace Uniqueness.

This campaign is being conducted in Secunderabad from July 11 to 16 by Telangana and Andhra Sub Areas (TASA) in collaboration with the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID).

It is an ongoing struggle for CWSN and their families to be embraced and integrated into society rightfully and judiciously. For CWSN to excel and build a befitting identity in society, it must be provided with equal opportunities and platforms.

During Empowerment Week, the Moti Mahal, a heritage structure owned by AOC Records, was a venue for the inauguration of the events.
