Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy awaits approval from the high command for the expansion of his Cabinet, following the recent formation of the new Cabinet in Andhra Pradesh. Sources close to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy indicate that he has submitted a list of new Cabinet Ministers for consideration during his recent visit to Delhi.
Currently, the Telangana Cabinet comprises 12 ministers, including the Chief Minister, leaving six vacancies. Notably, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Nizamabad, and Adilabad districts lack representation in the current Cabinet. The existing ministers are primarily from districts like Khammam, Nalgonda, Warangal, and Karimnagar.
Despite no Congress MLA during the Cabinet formation, efforts are underway to include representation from Hyderabad district. Sriganesh, who won the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly by-election under the Congress banner, and BRS MLA Danam Nagendar, who recently joined Congress and contested from Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency, are notable contenders.

The current Cabinet composition includes four ministers from the Reddy community, along with representation from Kamma, Velama, and Brahmin communities, as well as from BC, SC, and ST communities. Notably, there is no MLA from the Muslim minority community in the Congress.
Various senior MLAs and former ministers, including Sudarshan Reddy from Nizamabad, are vying for Cabinet berths. Simultaneously, Congress MLAs from BC, SC, and ST communities are also lobbying for ministerial positions. Speculation suggests that TJS president Kodandaram might also be considered for a Cabinet role.
The names proposed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for Cabinet induction remain undisclosed, with expectations from Congress leaders that the high command will greenlight the expansion post the appointment of the new TPCC president.
