Telangana Congress Chief Revanth Reddy Arrested for Alleged Threats Against Police

Telangana Congress chairman Revanth Reddy has been arrested for reportedly making threatening remarks toward state police officials. Three First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed against Revanth Reddy in different police stations, according to officials.

The first FIR was registered at Nagarkurnool Police Station under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 153 and 504. The second FIR was filed at Boothpur Police Station under IPC sections 153, 504, 505(2), and 506. The third FIR was filed at the Jadcherla Police Station under IPC sections 153, 504, 505(2), and 506.

In a recent video, Revanth Reddy is seen purportedly saying that the names of some police officials are recorded in a “Red Diary,” and that when the Congress party takes control in the state, these officials will be “stripped off.”
