Telangana is pulling out all the stops to ensure the successful hosting of the prestigious Miss World 2025 pageant, with the state government treating it as a platform to showcase its global brand and capabilities. Director General of Police (DGP) Jitender convened a high-level meeting with senior officials on Friday to review and streamline security and logistical arrangements for the month-long event.
During the meeting at the DGP office, Jitender highlighted the vision of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who views the Miss World contest not merely as a beauty event but a global opportunity to present Telangana’s heritage, culture, and infrastructure on an international stage. The DGP stressed the importance of providing flawless security and hospitality to participants and guests from around the world.
The international event is expected to see participation from nearly 120 countries, with confirmations already received from 116 nations. The arrival of guests has commenced, and the grand inaugural ceremony is set to take place at Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad on May 10. The much-anticipated grand finale will be hosted at HITEX on May 31.

To ensure seamless operations, a centralised control system will be established to monitor all venues and activities. Contestants will not only participate in various segments of the competition but will also tour key cultural and historical landmarks across the state.
In Hyderabad, they will visit iconic sites such as Charminar, Laad Bazaar, the Secretariat, Yadagirigutta Temple, Uppal Stadium, Pochampally, and Ramoji Film City. Additionally, excursions are planned to heritage locations including Ramappa Temple in Mulugu, Buddhavanam in Nalgonda, Pillalamarri in Mahabubnagar, and tourist attractions in Warangal.
Jitender affirmed that the Telangana Police is committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency, and every aspect of the arrangements will reflect the state’s dedication to excellence.
The hosting of Miss World 2025 is being seen as a major milestone for Telangana, with officials optimistic about the global attention and tourism boost it is set to bring.
