The Telangana government has officially declared a general holiday on March 14 for Holi, the vibrant festival celebrated across India as the festival of colours. As per the state’s official calendar, all government offices and educational institutions will remain closed in observance of the festival.
Holi, also known as the Festival of Colours, the Festival of Spring, and the Festival of Love, marks the arrival of spring and the end of winter. It is celebrated with immense enthusiasm throughout the country, including Telangana, where people play with colours, water, and balloons to mark the occasion.
Apart from Holi, Telangana will witness several other holidays in March. The state government has listed four more holidays in the month, including two general holidays and two optional ones.
