Telangana government good to fight against Covid-19

Telangana has crossed 1 lac COVID-19 cases on Aug 22, today the official bulletin released by Telangana government the number of COVID cases is 1,04,249.

Telangana government is doing good and when compared to other states and It ranks 5th, nationally, on the scale of per a million COVID tests being conducted, and has a lower daily and 7-day growth rate said statistics, economist Dr. Rijo M Jhon.

DR Jhon has created the date on cases reported nationally on Aug 22, as per the graph Telangana has conducted 1107 per million tests on the day which is higher than the national average of 591.7 per million. However, Telangana has ranked 8th with the confirmed cases on the day with 2,474 tested positive for COVID-19.

The 7-day average growth was recorded as 2.0 percent, which is lower India’s average of 2.5 percent and it is also lesser than other neighboring states like Karnataka with 3.1, Chhatisgarh with 4.7 and Andhra Pradesh with 3.0

According to the official bulletin released by the Government of Telangana between 22 July and 22 August the Telangana state has registered closely 52,600 positive COVID-19 cases which means that almost 50 percent of the total cases were reported in the last 30 days.

DR Jhon also said that the Test Positive Rate of Telangana state on 22 August was 6.9 percent. This is based on the 7 days average of daily COVID-19 cases. Karnataka reported TPR of 12.9, Chhattisgarh reported TPR of 8.2, and Andhra Pradesh reported Test Positive Rate of 17.0.

The Test Positive Rate is based on the number of people tested positive for COVID-19 In comparison with tests done on that day, however, the mortality rate of Telangana state dropped much lower then compers to other states. The mortality rate is 0.7 percent which ranks lower than the national average of 1.9 percent.

State bank of India has done a separate study which has reported that Telangana is yet to reach the peak of the cases as the Tests positive rate is high when compared to teste conducted per million population and this study is based on the cases reported on a long term basis, this report also mentions that Gujarat, Tripura Jammu, and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi has crossed their peaks.
