In a landmark move aimed at decentralizing information technology (IT) growth and promoting regional development, the Government of Telangana signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ITServe Alliance on Wednesday. ITServe Alliance is one of the largest associations of IT companies in the United States, and this collaboration aims to generate 30,000 new jobs in Tier-II and Tier-III towns across the state.
The agreement was welcomed by Telangana’s Information and Technology Minister, D Sridhar Babu, who emphasized that bringing IT opportunities to smaller towns would replicate Hyderabad’s IT success across Telangana. “Telangana’s talent pool is our greatest asset. By creating job opportunities in smaller towns, we aim to empower local communities, reduce migration to urban centers like Hyderabad, and ease congestion in the city,” said Minister Babu.
As part of the initiative, the Telangana government has committed to providing land in Hyderabad’s Financial District for ITServe member companies to establish office spaces. This move will foster synergy between regional and urban operations, enhancing the state’s standing as a comprehensive hub for IT growth. The plan is to create a balanced IT ecosystem across Telangana, where smaller towns can share in the benefits of the state’s booming IT sector.

The National President of ITServe Alliance, Jagadeesh Mosali, praised the MoU as a crucial step toward growth and collaboration. Mosali highlighted that the partnership would allow ITServe member companies to tap into the untapped talent pool in Tier-II and Tier-III towns, creating sustainable employment opportunities in these regions. The MoU also focuses on workforce development, with special emphasis on skilling and reskilling initiatives to prepare local communities for industry-ready roles.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by key figures such as Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary of the Industries and Commerce and IT Departments of Telangana, along with other members of ITServe Alliance.
This partnership marks a new era of decentralized IT growth in Telangana. By fostering infrastructure development and nurturing local talent, the collaboration aims to bring prosperity to emerging towns such as Mahbubnagar, Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, and Nizamabad. These areas, traditionally not as developed as Hyderabad, are poised to benefit greatly from the influx of IT job opportunities, helping to reduce regional disparities.
Overall, the Telangana government’s partnership with ITServe Alliance is a significant step toward creating a more balanced IT ecosystem in the state, with an emphasis on sustainable growth, job creation, and the development of local talent. This collaboration is expected to be a game-changer for the state, opening up new possibilities for economic growth and making Telangana a model for decentralized IT development in India.
