Telangana govt invites startups to present ideas in E-mobility sector

The Government of Telangana has invited Indian startups to present their scalable business ideas and solutions at the CASE Mobility Grand startup Challenge in order to accelerate innovation in connected, autonomous, shared, and electric mobility (CASE).

The finale of the challenge will take place on February 7, during Hyderabad E-Mobility Week. The top seven startups will pitch their ideas to a jury comprised of representatives from government, industry, startups, and academia.

TVS Motor Company, a two- and three-wheeler manufacturer, is an industry partner for this contest, which is part of the Hyderabad E-Mobility Week, happening from February 5-11.

“Innovations in CASE mobility will drive the automobile industry’s next revolution. This challenge provides a platform for startups to interact with technology experts and plan their next phase of growth,” said IT and Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan.

The winner of the challenge will receive a grant of up to Rs 10 lakh, while the runners-up will receive grants of up to Rs 5 lakh. Winners will also be accepted into T-startup Hub’s incubation programs.

More than 100 startups from across the country have expressed interest in taking part in the challenge. They will be judged based on their originality, innovation, and feasibility.

“It is a privilege for us to partner the Telangana Government for the Hyderabad E-Mobility Week. Post establishing a Digital Innovation Centre in the UK last year, we are now setting up a second innovation hub in Hyderabad, which will help us drive organisational efficiencies and also aid our journey towards the research and development of tyres for connected, autonomous, shared and electric mobility,” said Satish Sharma, President (APMEA), Apollo Tyres.

“CASE Mobility is a significant initiative by the Government of Telangana to offer a platform to the startup community. It gives us an opportunity to witness creative and unique ideas that young entrepreneurs have,” said Maheswaran Calavai, Chief Digital and AI Officer, TVS Motor Company.
