On world food security day Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao claimed that Telangana has turned to be a rice bowl of India.
With government initiatives and programs, the state is able to see big production in the agriculture sector as irrigation projects completed on a war-footing he said.
The new state is top in agriculture production and contributing to the country’s food security and safety he said. With its plan, the state achieves its two crore acres in two spells of farming and produced 3 crore metric tons of yield.

To ensure food to everyone the government gives six kg a person and helps the farmers through several schemes. We spend Rs 45000 cr for welfare and give rice to about 81 lakh of poor families.
