The idea of installation of kiosks at popular locations in cities like Hyderabad and Warangal that can direct commuters and tourists on the road received support from Telangana MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao on Saturday.
Visitors can find information on nearby eateries, hotels, shops, and attractions at travel and tourism kiosks.
Additional details are provided by individual listings, and visitors can find their way around using wayfinding features.
Telangana IT minister KT Rama Rao said that the state will soon have them in response to a Twitterati’s suggestion that simple information kiosks similar to those in London be installed.
KTR also asked Hyderabad Mayor Vijayalakshmi and Special Chief Secretary for Urban Development Arvind Kumar to implement the plan.
After installation, the kiosks will assist visitors with information related to street maps, directions, and food places nearby, in addition to public transport details to reach their desired nearby destination.
