Hyderabad: Municipal and Industries Minister, KTR today accused the Centre of not extending support for the development of Hyderabad as a global city.
KTR informed the council during school debate that the centre has not prepared for offering support to the development of the city. The government has four plans for city development with roads and infrastructure he said. However, the center is still a denial mood to offer its defense land for roads.
We repeatedly asked defense minister Rajnath Singh in this regard and there is no response We plan to lay more roads and the defense officials often close its cantonment roads. It causes a lot of inconvenience for road users and the center is responsible for the problem, he alleged.
The center has to give its defense lands for road development in the city he said. He slammed the BJP leaders of the state for false allegations.
Local BJP leaders should exert pressure on the center for such roads and finds for development. The government has taken up several programs for the development of Hyderabad as a global city, he added.
