Telangana: Police officers attacked by drunk driver during traffic stop

During a drunk driving check at Dundigal, a man who was in an intoxicated state attacked traffic police personnel.

A video posted on social media shows the man pushing the cops and throwing large stones at them while abusing them in public.

Upon receiving information, the Dundigal police arrived on the scene and overpowered him. He was taken to the Dundigal police station and a case was filed against him.

When the driver was caught drunk driving checking, he got angry and attacked the police team, traffic police said.

Prior to this, a video from Hyderabad’s Asifnagar area had gone viral. Throughout the 41-second video, a man allegedly intoxicated with ganja can be seen balancing himself atop the police patrol car.

The information indicates that drunk men attacked and vandalized police officers in Hyderabad’s Asifnagar area while they were performing a routine drunk driving test on commuters. The situation deteriorated when one of the men climbed atop a police vehicle and began cursing the officers.

The accused has been identified as Ajay Singh, who hopped on the police patrol car while inebriated and damaged the windshield and side mirrors.

Prof Dasoju Srravan, National Spokesperson at @INCINDIA and Telangana Activist, shared the video on Twitter with a caption.

Drunk man rams car into divider

A man was reportedly found driving under the influence of alcohol and colliding with a divider. The incident occurred last week near the Peddamma Thalli temple in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The driver of the car abruptly lost control of the vehicle and collided with the divider. Fortunately, he did not collide with any other vehicles, and no one was injured.

The police arrived and checked the alcohol percentage, which was far above the legal limit. He was arrested after police opened an investigation.
