The Telangana State government intends to expand the T-Works concept, which is headquartered in Raidurgam and is India’s largest prototype facility, to assist innovators, particularly students from rural areas. T-Works, which is currently sprawled across 78,000 square feet, provides prototyping services such as metalworking, carpentry, ceramics, 3D printing, laser cutting, and electronics testing. Multi-layer PCB fast manufacturing, polymers and composites, high-speed CNC machining, and digital cutters will be among the future capabilities.
T-Works management is focusing on establishing units in Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, and Khammam to expand these services outside Hyderabad. By the end of the year, each district should have at least one T-Works unit functioning. Collaboration with universities or engineering colleges is being investigated in order to reduce expenses and make the best use of lab infrastructure and facilities.
This development is based on a hub-and-spoke concept, with the goal of assisting rural entrepreneurs and students by offering local support and assistance for their projects. Personnel from the new sections will aid innovators, and for more advanced assistance, they can visit the Hyderabad campus to take their initiatives to the next level. This method avoids the need for frequent trips to Hyderabad, making it more accessible to residents of surrounding areas.
