Telangana’s Transport Minister, Poonam Prabhakar, has announced that the state government will launch four new welfare schemes from 26th January, aimed at benefiting the residents of Telangana. These schemes include the Indiramma Housing scheme, Ration Cards distribution, and Rythu Bandhu, a key initiative for supporting farmers. Minister Prabhakar assured the public that there was no need for concern regarding the implementation of these schemes.
Prabhakar stated that from today, Gram Sabhas and Ward Sabhas will be held in rural areas where beneficiaries for these schemes will be selected. He encouraged eligible individuals who may not be selected initially to submit their applications during the Gram Sabhas for further consideration.
Addressing the concerns raised by opposition parties, the minister urged the public not to be misled by their statements. He criticized the previous government for failing to issue a single ration card in the last ten years, and praised the current administration for its efforts to ensure that benefits reach the right people.
