Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) officials issued a directive, emphasizing that consumers are now required to use only the TGSPDCL portal or mobile app for settling their electricity bills.
This decision, effective July 1, 2024, discontinues the option of paying bills through popular UPI third-party apps such as PhonePe, GooglePe, and Paytm, in line with regulations stipulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
To facilitate seamless bill payments, consumers are urged to download the TSSPDCL mobile app. The registration process involves entering their unique service code number, prominently displayed on their electricity bills, along with their mobile number. Verification is completed through OTP authentication, after which users gain access to the payment interface within the app.

Within the app, users can choose from various secure payment options including T-Wallet and Billdesk Payment. This step aims to bolster payment security and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Once the payment is processed, users receive instant notifications confirming the transaction’s completion.
The TSSPDCL mobile app also features dedicated sections for addressing consumer grievances and inquiries promptly. This initiative underscores TGSPDCL’s commitment to enhancing customer service efficiency and providing a user-friendly platform for managing electricity bill payments securely and conveniently.
Users have to download the TSSPDCL mobile app. Service registration is required. Enter your unique service code number. (It will be on the electricity bill and enter the mobile number). Enter the OTP and click on the register button. After completing the registration, the bill has to be paid in the app.
Click on the pay bill option and complete your details there. Then click on any one of the payment options – Pay with T-Wallet, Billdesk Payment etc.
