The deadline for submitting Hajj Online Applications forms to TS Hajj Committee for Hajj-2022 is February 15, 2022.
B Shafiullah, Executive Officer, TS Hajj Committee, stated that intending Hajj pilgrims who have not yet applied for online Hajj application forms can do so on the Hajj Committee of India’s website, www.hajcommittee.gov.in, according to the Telangana State Hajj Committee.
Shafiullah asked that Hajj pilgrims bring the necessary documents, such as passports, bank proof, address proof, passport size photos with white backgrounds, and a debit or credit card to pay the online HAF processing fee. He also stated that prospective Hajj pilgrims must have a machine-readable passport with an expiration date of December 31, 2022, in order to apply for the Online Hajj Application form for Haj-2022. What is Hajj?
The Hajj also spelled Haj, is an annual pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims are required to perform at least once in their lives. The meaning of the Arabic word Haj is to intend a journey.
Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, along with shahadah (declaration of faith), salat (daily prayer), zakat (almsgiving), and sawm (fasting in Ramadan).
Adult Muslims must perform Hajj at least once in their lives. They must be in good mental health, as well as physically and financially capable of making the journey. Those who finish the pilgrimage are given the title Hajji.
The pilgrimage takes place during the Islamic calendar’s final month, Dhul-Hajj. The Hajj rituals are carried out from the 8th to the 12th of the Dhul Hajj.
Because the Islamic calendar is based on the lunar year, the date in the Gregorian calendar changes each year and is 10 to 11 days earlier than the previous year. Hajj is expected to take place on or around August 9th, 2019.
