In addition, Pakistan had 81,132 pilgrims and India had 79,237 pilgrims. A quota of 57,585 pilgrims from Bangladesh will make up the fourth-largest number.
The African country of Angola has 23 pilgrims, making it the lowest on the list. With 35,375 pilgrims registered for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage, Egypt leads the Arab countries. A total of 43,008 people were from African countries, with the largest percentage coming from Nigeria. Iran was allocated a quota of 38,481, while Turkey was allotted 37,770.

Approximately one million pilgrims are going to Hajj this year, and 85 per cent will be foreigners. The number of foreign pilgrims permitted to perform Hajj has been increased to 850,000, while the number of domestic pilgrims is limited to 150,000. Despite the high number of foreign pilgrims attending, only 45.2 per cent of the quota of pilgrims for each country was met before the Coronavirus pandemic.
There are certain terms and conditions the Ministry of Hajj has set for pilgrims from overseas taking part in this year’s Hajj. Several restrictions apply to pilgrims, including the age restriction and mandatory vaccination against Coronavirus.
Hajj 2022: Saudi Arabia to allow one million pilgrims
During this year’s Hajj, Saudi Arabia will allow one million Muslims to participate from both inside and outside the country. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says one million pilgrims from both abroad and at home are authorized to perform hajj this year.
According to the statement, the clinic is open to anyone under 65 years old who has received the main Covid-19 vaccinations approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health.
As much as possible, the government wants to guarantee pilgrims’ safety “while allowing as many Muslims as possible to perform the hajj.”
There will be a maximum number of pilgrims allowed from each country, based on allotted quotas. A negative Covid-19 PCR test result must be submitted within 72 hours of travelling from outside Saudi Arabia.
