Hyderabad: Ikebana International Hyderabad Chapter #250 and Telangana Tourism are jointly organizing a three-day Bathukamma Floral Festival-2018 at Shilpakala Vedika, Madhapur, here on October 7 to 9.
Addressing mediapersons here today, A. Vineetha Sunil Kumar, president, Sukhana Reddy, vice-president, Usha Bhagia, secretary said the first day of the Bathukamma Flora festival will be inaugurated by S.K. Joshi, Chief Secretary. Two Visiting Council of Professor’s Sahiko Suzuki and Assistant Professor Oyamada Tomomi from head quarters of Ohara School of Ikebana Tokyo Japan, will be conducting workshops to the delegates attending the event from Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bengaluru Chapters along with the local Hyderabad Ikebana Chapters.
They said two local senior first maters’ Ohryu Rekha Reddy and Horen Sharda Reddy will demonstrate and display Ikebana flower arrangements to the visiting guests and audience. Bathukamma festive songs and dances and the State’s floral bedecked event will be celebrated with pomp and gaiety, showcasing the cultural flok festival in a colorful tryst and will be a visual treat to the eyes of the beholder.
