Thunderstorm associated with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Suryapet, Nalgonda, Nagar Kurnool and Ranga Reddy districts of Telangana, Chittoor and and Kadapa districts of Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours, Meteorological Department warned on Friday.
It also warned that heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, Krishna and Guntur of Coastal Andhra Pradesh on September 17 and 18.
Southwest monsoon has been normal in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, while weak in Telangana and Rayalaseema.
Rain occurred at a few places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours, while isolated rain occurred in Telangana and Rayalaseema during the same period, the bulletin said.
