Timeless Qur’anic Treasures Displayed in Grand Mosque Exhibition

A special awareness exhibition has opened in the third Saudi expansion area of the Grand Mosque in Makkah. The exhibition aims to enrich the spiritual journey of pilgrims by sharing the teachings and cultural depth of the Holy Qur’an.

The event was launched by the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. It highlights the universal message of the Qur’an and promotes key values like tolerance, moderation, and balance.

Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, who heads the presidency, said that the exhibition reflects the importance of the Qur’an and supports Saudi Arabia’s dedication to preserving and sharing its knowledge and teachings, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

A major highlight of the exhibition is its collection of rare and ancient Qur’anic texts. Pilgrims can view handwritten copies of the Qur’an, some more than 1,000 years old, as well as wooden panels inscribed with verses and other historical manuscripts.

The exhibition offers a unique opportunity for millions of visitors during Hajj and Umrah seasons to connect deeply with the Qur’an’s message and history.
