TJS vice-president quits party, slams Kodandaram & “Vishapu Kutami”

Hyderabad: Telangana Jana Samithi of Prof. Kodandaram, a constituent of Mahakutami, today received a jolt with prominent advocate and party’s vice-president Rachana Reddy resigning from her post. Leveling severe allegations against party founder-president M. Kodandaram, Rachana Reddy said the professor-turned-politician had entered  into a secret pact with the Congress party.

Addressing mediapersons here today, Rachana Reddy alleged that sincere and deserving leaders in the party did not get tickets for the Assembly elections due to unilateral functioning of Prof. Kodandaram. She also said the TJS chief was rendering gross injustice to the infant Telangana State and there was no iota of social justice in the party. The professor was behaving like any other greedy politician, she said, adding that cadre in the TJS suffered gross injustice due to the attitude of Kodandaram. Describing Mahakutami as Vishapu Kutami, Rachana Reddy accused Kodandaram of cheating the sincere leaders in the party.

Explaining the murky developments in the party since its inception, Rachana Reddy said Kodandaram’s TJS joining the Mahakutami was a great blunder. “There was no social justice in the TJS. All the leaders in the Mahakutami have no common sense. TDP national president and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu plunging in electioneering in Telangana was a big mistake. The people of Telangana are aware of the conspiracies of Chandrababu Naidu is well-known. The cadres of the Mahakutami were not at all working and cheating the Telangana people in the name of Mahakutami”, she added.

Rachana Reddy also pointed out that not a single ticket was given to Minority leaders. Stating that the Congress has give tickets to parachute candidates, she alleged that the Mahakutam was infested with political brokers. She also alleged that Prof. Kodandaram deliberately joined hands with the Congress and will be facing unceremonious defeat. She has alleged that tickets were being sold like vegetables by the constituents of Mahakutami.

Alleging that internal feuds in the TJS were known to people, Rachana Reddy said Kodandaram had met BJP national president Amit Shah and bargained for 40 seats, but failed. Stating that there was no alternative to the TRS in the State, the TJS leader questioned the Mahakutami as what it has done for the people of Telangana. She also felt that nobody would lift phone from Kodandaram after the elections. She also said the Mahakutami would face a humiliating defeat in the elections as it had joined hands with TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. (NSS)
