Hyderabad: TPCC working president J. Kusuma Kumar on Wednesday said they would hold preparatory election meetings from February15 to 17. He said he would act as incharge of all the meetings.
Addressing media here today, Kumar said the TPCC election committee meeting would be held on the last day of the meetings. He said they would send names of one or two ticket aspirants to the AICC for approval and selection of the party candidates would be based on their victory chances. He also said the formal announcement of the candidates would be made in the last week of February. Kusuma Kumar made it clear his party would field candidates in all 17 Lok Sabha seats and the elections would be a straight fight between Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Targetting Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, Kumar alleged that the KCR had gone for early elections as he was scared of facing a humiliating defeat in the State. Targeting Modi on the CAG report, he alleged that the PM had managed the CAG as well. (NSS)
