As indicated by reports, the episode occurred when certain individuals, professing to be family members of a BJP MLA Ashutosh Shukla were come by the traffic constable for playing the hooter on their SUV which additionally had a BJP banner.

The traffic constable attempted to snap a picture of the vehicle and at this, the tenants of the vehicle blew a gasket. They thrashed the constable and compromised him with desperate results.
