Tragic Death of Telangana Bridegroom from Sunstroke Highlights Heat Safety Concerns

In a terrible occurrence in Telangana, a bridegroom named Gundla Thirupathi, 26, died suddenly from sunstroke just hours before his wedding. Thirupathi, a resident of Asifabad’s Koutala Mandal, began having symptoms such as diarrhoea and vomiting on Monday after distributing wedding invites. His condition gradually deteriorated, resulting in his death.

When his health worsened, he was transported to a neighbouring hospital in Kaghaznagar and eventually moved to a hospital in Mancherial. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Thirupathi died on Tuesday around 10 p.m. As a result, the wedding, which was scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, was cancelled.

The Koutala Mandal has been experiencing exceptionally high temperatures in recent days, with maximum temperatures reaching 40-43 degrees Celsius. With the current scorching conditions in Telangana and the state’s delayed monsoon onset, there is an increased danger of sunstroke if essential precautions are not taken.

It is critical that people shield themselves from the heat. While it is best to stay indoors during the warmest portion of the day, which is usually between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., if stepping outside is unavoidable, preventive measures must be taken.
