A tragic occurrence occurred in Rajanna Sircilla, Hyderabad, when a 13-month-old boy called Kranti Kumar died from suffocation while eating a snack. While his mother was busy with domestic chores, the child was left with a few pieces of punugulu, a typical deep-fried delicacy from Andhra Pradesh.
As Kranti ate the snack, a puss formed in his throat, obstructing the windpipe and making breathing difficult. He became unconscious as a result of the asphyxia, and despite quick efforts to transport him to the hospital, he died before getting medical attention.
Maruthi and Kavitha, Kranti’s parents, had come to Mustabad two years ago from the Komaram Bheem-Asifabad district and were working as daily wage laborers.
When the police received the information, they opened a case and began an extensive investigation. The occurrence has caused the family and the surrounding community much pain, emphasizing the need of attentiveness and protecting the safety of small children during lunch.
