Malakpet, known as an old city area in the world, is poised for advancement with the arrival of an Information Technology (IT) tower. Malakpet, which was once a highly neglected area, is soon set to undergo a transformation. It has been revealed that the government of Telangana has already initiated several developmental programs alongside the introduction of the first metro train.
The IT tower in Malakpet will be established in the government employee housing complex and is expected to transform the lives of the youth in this area, as announced by the Minister of IT and Industries.
The Telangana state government has allocated 1,032 crores INR for the construction of an IT tower in the B Block of the Akbar Bagh Division in the Malakpet constituency. The government has granted the necessary funds and permissions for the construction of a large IT tower spanning 20 lakh square feet with 21 houses spread across ten acres of land. The program for laying the foundation stone has commenced, and the construction will be carried out through a joint partnership with TSIIC and other organizations. However, this construction is to be done on 44.20 acres of land, with the first phase covering 10.35 acres.

Malakpet’s MLA Ahmed Balala worked diligently for the establishment of the IT tower in the old city. He succeeded in fulfilling the promises made to the constituency’s residents during the election campaign regarding the installation of the IT tower. The CM’s CRO, along with the Minister’s TR, held numerous discussions with officials from TSIIC and Principal Secretary of the IT Department, Jayesh Ranjan, ultimately leading to the establishment of the IT tower.
MLA Ahmed Balala of Malakpet mentioned that the state’s IT and Industries Minister, along with the TR, will soon lay the foundation stone for the IT tower in Malakpet. He revealed that the TR, along with state ministers Mahmood Ali, Seri Nawaz, Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi, Mayor Gaddam Vijayalakshmi, Principal Secretary of the IT Department Jayesh Ranjan, officials from the IT Department, and other dignitaries will participate in the event.
