Trio, who lost Assembly polls, to enter Lok Sabha!

Hyderabad: If any political leader continues to serve the people in public life despite defeats, it will help them win in subsequent elections. This has been proved to be true in the just-concluded Lok Sabha elections.

Three leaders from the State have won elections to Lok Sabha in Thursday’s election results. Congress party’s Malkajgiri LS candidate A. Revanth Reddy, Bhongir candidate Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and BJP candidate from Karimnagar seat Bandi Sanjay emerged as winners. While Revanth Reddy and K. Venkat Reddy contested as Congress candidates unsuccessfully from Kodangal and Nalgonda Assembly constituencies in the last year’s Assembly elections, BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar contested from Karimnagar Assembly seat. But All the three leaders lost the Assembly elections at the hands of their nearest rivals from ruling TRS party with a clear majority.

However, their defeat didn’t stop them from continuing their public service. Recovering soon from crushing defeat they faced in the Assembly elections, they turned their focus on the Lok Sabha elections and contested from the Malkajgiri, Nalgonda and Karimnagar seats. They went to the public and exposed the failures of the ruling TRS party in a more aggressive manner while seeking their votes. Their hard work has finally paid off and helped them win from the three seats. (NSS)
