Tripura Assembly Speaker Disqualifies BJP MLA

Tripura Assembly Speaker Ratan Chakraborty disqualified Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ashish Das, who joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on October 31, 2021, in the wake of scrutinizing the saffron party and its initiative in the state.
The Speaker said that subsequent to analyzing every one of the pertinent papers and reports just as the request of BJP Chief Whip, Kalyani Roy he had precluded Das under the counter absconding law (the tenth Schedule of the Constitution).
Roy prior recorded an appeal before Chakraborty to preclude the 43-year-old BJP lawmaker as he straightforwardly reprimanded Tripura’s BJP government and its chiefs prior to joining the TMC at a capacity in Agartala last year.

The IPFT with eight MLAS is a partner of the decision BJP.
Tripura Assembly Secretary, Bishnu Pada Karmakar let IANS know that the Assembly Secretariat would send the Speaker’s structure by speed present on Wednesday on Ashish Das. Das, a Scheduled Caste pioneer and a BJP MLA from the Surma Assembly voting demographic in northern Tripura, declining to offer any remarks on his preclusion said that he didn’t get any request or letter from the Speaker.
