Mahabubnagar: Telangana BJP president Dr K Laxman today alleged that the TRS government was adopting anti-dalit policies as ot was partial towards them.
Speaking to the media here before leaving for Shadnagar, the State BJP chief said his party would support the cause of dalit IAS and IPS officers, who were not getting proper recognition in the State. He said the Modi government has taken up various welfare schemes for the poor. He said some regional parties were raising religion and caste issues as they cannot digest the Modi government’s skyrocketing popularity.
Criticising the functioning of the TRS government, Laxman alleged that there was financial irregularities in Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagirath schemes. Laxman, who is undertaking Janachaitanya yatra in the State, said Union minister Prakash jawadekar would also participate in the yatra.
Addressing a well-attended public meeting at Shadnagar later, Laxman commented that the TRS government has become synonym for contracts, commissions and corruption, but nas no concern for welfare of people. He also said the State government failed to resolve the unemployment problem even after four years, he said. (NSS)
