Hyderabad: TRS working president KT Rama Rao today instructed the party leaders to ensue completion of membership drive by August 10.
KTR held a meeting with party in-charges for several segments at TRS Bhavan here. On the occasion, KTR said the membership drive was going on swiftly in the city. He asked them to complete the drive by August 10 and form committees in bastis, divisions by August 20. KTR also asked them to see that the committees have 50 per cent of SC, ST, BC and Minorities. “Set the target that every segment should have at least 50,000 members”, he said, adding that the drive was active in many segments.
KTR also asked the party leaders to take the welfare schemes and developmental programs to the people. He said the city did not face drinking water problem due to foresight of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. There was no problem for electricity supply and the TRS will be strengthened and no other party can take on it, he said. “We have to make use of membership drive to further strengthen the party”, he added.
