Hyderabad : Congress MP A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday alleged that both the ruling TRS and the Opposition BJP were hand in glove with each other and cooperating with each other albeit secretly.
Citing that BJP State president K. Laxman recently alleged that irregularities to the tune of Rs 1,000 crore took place in the purchase of power, he said Cabinet minister Koppula Eswar and CMD of the TSGENCO dared Laxman to order a CBI inquiry to prove the allegations as wrong. He said the Principal Secretary wrote a letter to the Union government to allow it buy abandoned sub-critical technologies of India Bulls on February 1, 2016 and added that a promise was made to the farmers of the state that they would be given power by completing the Bhadradri project by the year 2017 while noting that the Center has banned the sub critical technologies in the year 2012.
He said that the same central government has also asked all the state governments of the country to upgrade themselves to super critical technologies. He alleged that the Telangana state had bought the sub critical technologies rejected by Gujarat government and added that the move was taken to benefit India Bulls company.
He alleged that the Rs.32,000 crore worth works of Yadadri project were allotted on nomination basis to the contractors. He alleged that CM KCR had secured works for his family members after handing over the Bhadradri project to BHEL. He also alleged that Prabhakar Rao signed on all such works allotted to the family members of CM KCR. He also alleged that CM KCR received commissions from his family members for doing favours to them. He asked the state government as to why Prabhakar Rao was appointed in the CMD post which was meant for senior IAS officers. (NSS)
