TRS Puts Up Anti-Bulldozer Hoardings at Munugode

Posters aggrandizing KCR were displayed in the Munugode constituency on Friday as a message to the BJP government. The hoardings said, ‘Unbreakable Telangana & KCR’. A public meeting will be held in the seat by Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR).

KCR’s public meeting is pretty much in anticipation of the Munugode by-election since the Assembly seat is now vacant. A few weeks ago, former Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy joined the BJP. As a result of his departure, a by-election is required. TRS is putting all its efforts into winning the seat before next year’s elections.

For KCR’s public meeting in Munugode on Friday, the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) got into action. Posters on bulldozers are part of the TRS’s larger strategy to defeat the BJP both nationally and in Telangana.

Over the past few months, the TRS has relentlessly targeted the BJP, particularly at the Centre.

Posters aimed at Yogi

As a result of raising their voices, Yogi Adityanath’s government has been demolishing the homes of activists and dissenters in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP-run Delhi municipality bulldozed homes in Jahangirpuri this year due to illegal construction. A Hanuman Jayanthi procession turned violent and provocative in April, resulting in clashes.

During the BJP’s national executive meeting in Hyderabad, the TRS conducted a similar social media campaign. A ‘money heist’ hoarding was posted by the ruling party in an attempt to target PM Narendra Modi. Throughout Hyderabad, TRS flags were also displayed. A public meeting was scheduled for Modi, but KCR and the party managed to steal the show.

Recently, the TRS has also taken an effort to intensify its attacks on the central government led by the BJP. A clear indication that KCR is eyeing a larger national role as an opposition leader.
