Hyderabad: TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today asserted that his party would retain power in next elections by getting more than 100 seats.
Speaking in Telangana Bhavan after welcoming former minister Danam Nagender and his followers into the party today, the Chief Minister said according to a new survey, the TRS will have a cake-walk in the ensuing elections and get more than 100 seats. “Let the elections come and the TRS will win despite all political parties joining hands against the ruling party”, the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister said, “Telangana formation was a history and process of reconstruction and developing golden Telangana was another history”, he remarked. As per the recent survey, the poor and deprived classes were happy with the welfare schemes and development programs of the TRS government, he said. The ruling party enjoys the support of the people and will get back to power without any difficulty, KCR claimed.
Kalyana Lakshmi was aimed to help the needy classes and being extended to the poor among the upper castes in the State. “On coming to power, we have designed schemes based on pains, difficulties and needs of the people, who are 85 per cent in population in the State. We started giving pensions from the very first day”, he said. The TRS Government fetched Rs 1,675 crore income from sand mining in four years while the previous Congress regime earned a paltry Rs 39 crore in 10 years, he pointed out. (NSS)
