TRS will win over 100 seats: Tummala

Hyderabad: TRS will retain power by winning more than 100 seats out of 119 in the next elections, Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao has said.

Speaking at a TRS booth committee meeting in Nizamabad district, the R&B minister predicted that the main Opposition Congress party will not get power for another 14 years for moving courts against developmental programs. The Congress leaders are getting envious over the continuous development process and welfare of people in the State, he alleged. The Opposition was resorting to malign the image of the government, which was making relentless efforts for welfare of the people. He also slammed the Congress party for filing cases in courts to stall the execution of the irrigation projects.

The previous government had miserably failed in taking up irrigation projects, agriculture and welfare sectors, he charged. However, the TRS dispensation led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao successfully solved chronic power crisis in just three months, Nageshwar Rao averred. “Now our aim was to achieve the target of irrigating over one crore acres in the State by completing all the projects. In just one year, we brought 3,500 km national highways to the State and works were going on at brisk pace to complete them at the earliest”, he added. He appealed to the TRS leadership to create awareness among people on welfare schemes and development programs. The people vote for the TRS for its welfare and development, he hoped.(NSS)
