Hyderabad:Telangana TDP today urged Governor E S L Narasimhan to take up with the Centre on implementation of all promises envisaged in A P Re-organization Act-2014 without any delay.
A delegation, led by State TTDP president L Ramana, met the Governor and submitted a memorandum and requested him to take up with the Centre on implementation of all issues incorporated in the Act. In the memorandum, the TTDP chief charged the Centre with adopting negligent attitude towards implementing the assurances made in the Act. He also said the State government also failed to mount pressure on the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre on the issue.
The TTDP said the promises made in the APR Act, include setting up of Bayyaram Steel plant, Girijan university, Railway coach factory at Kazipet, special package for development of backward districts. Party politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy, Bakkani Narasimhulu, State party vice president M Amarnath Babu, Palvai Rajani Kumari, G Butchilingam, Sangareddy district party president Narottam, TNTUC president B N Reddy, Medchal district party president Ashok Goud, Warangal rural district president Srinivas Chari and State Telugu Yuvatha vice-president Anil were in the delegation.
