In a horrifying incident two young army officers were brutally assaulted, and one of their women friends was gang-raped at gunpoint in Indore. The attackers, reportedly a gang of eight, targeted the group with the intent of robbing them, escalating their assault to a brutal crime that has shocked the region.
The officers, both trainees at the Mhow Army College near Indore, had gone on an afternoon outing with two women friends to a location near the firing range at Chhoti Jam. The group was reportedly enjoying a peaceful ride when they were ambushed by the attackers.
The eight assailants, armed with pistols, knives, and sticks, surrounded the group and immediately began to beat and assault the officers and their women companions. After the initial attack, the criminals robbed the group, stripping them of money and personal belongings.

The situation took a grave turn when the attackers took one officer and a woman hostage. They then forced the other officer and the second woman to leave and bring back a ransom of ₹10 lakh. The officer, realizing the gravity of the situation, rushed back to his unit and informed his commanding officer.
Military authorities and local police were swiftly alerted. Acting quickly, a team of police officers and army personnel rushed to the scene of the crime, but the attackers fled when they noticed the approaching vehicles.
All four victims were taken to Mhow Civil Hospital early morning for medical examinations. Both officers sustained injuries from the assault, and the police later confirmed that one of the women had been gang-raped. The medical reports were verified by the Media agency, quoting police officer Lokendra Singh Hirore.
Two of the attackers have been apprehended so far, with one reportedly having a prior criminal record. Senior police officer Hitika Vasal told reporters that the case has been registered under multiple charges, including sections related to dacoity, rape, and under the Arms Act.
A manhunt is underway to locate the remaining criminals involved in this heinous attack. Authorities are working to bring justice to the victims and ensure that the remaining perpetrators are apprehended as soon as possible.
