Hyderabad: Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hosptial and Research Institute is organizing a two day CME & Surgical Work Shop on Breast Cancer in association with Association of Surgeons of India, Telangana Chapter. The two-day workshop that begun today 11th August at 9 AM was attended by more than 100 surgeons from various parts of Hyderabad and Telangana along with a large number of medical students.
The key speaker at the workshop was Dr. SVS Deo, Professor & Head, Department of Surgical Oncology, BRA-IRCH, AIIMS, New Delhi. Experts from various hospitals have given detailed presentations on various aspects of the subject. Apart from lectures & Presentations, the workshop also held a panel discussion on management strategies of Breast Cancer.
On the second day of workshop i.e. Sunday, experts will demonstrate and perform surgeries that will be broadcasted live into the auditorium in order to present the various techniques and practices from across India.
The workshop was organised under the leadership of Dr. TS Rao, Medical Director & HOD of Surgical Oncology, BIACH&RI along with Dr. N. Bheerappa, Chairman of TSASI, Dr. Jagdishwar Gajagowni Goud, Secretary, TSASI, Dr. B. Umakanth Goud, Treasurer of TSASI and Dr. Chandra CK Naidu, Dr Nisha Hariharan from BIACH&RI. (NSS)
