UP assembly: 36 Muslims Elected, 8.39% New MLAs

In Mohammadabad (Ghazipur), previous MLA Sibgatullah Ansari’s child and Mukhtar’s nephew Suhaib Ansari a.k.a. Mannu arose triumphant with an edge of 18,199 votes overcoming BJP’s sitting MLA Alka Rai.

In Kairana seat, SP’s Nahid Hasan gotten a success in the wake of surveying 1,31,035 votes against BJP competitor Mriganka Singh’s 1,05,148. In Nizamabad (Azamgarh), SP’s 85-year-old veteran, Alam Badi, was reappointed overcoming BJP’s Manoj by an edge of 34,187 votes.

Kithore Assembly seat in Meerut saw a nearby challenge between SP’s Shahid Mazoor and BJP’s Satvir Singh. Mazoor won the seat by a thin edge of 2,180 votes. In Kundarki (Moradabad), SP MP Shafiqur Rahman Barq’s child Zia-ur-Rehman destroyed BJP’s Kamal Kumar by 43,162 votes.
