UP Promotes Public Transport
According to a government spokesperson, the Prime Minister has urged senior officials to promote public transport over private transport, especially in the metropolitan area (NCR).
The CM called for planned actions at the local level to address pollution levels, especially in areas such as Noida and Ghaziabad adjacent to Delhi, where pollution levels are in the critical category. “In light of that, he said people should be encouraged to use public transport,” a government spokesman said.

He also said that farmers are sensitive to the burning of crops and will be informed about the problems they are facing due to increased air pollution. An additional secretary-general (environment), Manoji Kumar, during a meeting with a committee appointed by the Supreme Court, announced and closed various measures he had already taken to control pollution levels.
SC Mentions Two Important Issues
The SC specifically mentioned two issues that needed consultation. One was confinement and the other was burning stubble. UP does not agree with the restrictions as it affects our field officers who are tasked with enforcing the law. All the work they are doing now will also stop.
“During that time, we are taking measures such as spraying water on medians, roads and trees, planting grass in unpaved areas, dumping vehicles that are more than 10 to 15 years old, and illegally dumping construction waste must stop”.
On the other hand, the official said that UP’s designer stubble fire was very few, R.K. Tiwali wrote to the district justice of the peace to fight the fire of designer stubble completely.
