Hyderabad: TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has said he was not thinking that the Telangana Congress leaders went to Delhi to lodge a complaint with the high command against him. He said they went to Delhi only to greet AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi on the occasion of his 48th birthday celebrations.
Uttam said several TRS, BJP and TDP leaders were ready to join the Congress party. “We are discussing with the local leaders on their joining. The joining of TRS, BJP and TDP leaders would take place very soon”, he said. After celebrating his birthday at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, Uttam Kumar Reddy had a chit chat with scribes. He alleged that the reservations in Panchayatraj elections were derangement and said that one can see the state government’s negligent attitude in finalizing the reservations of Panchayatraj elections.
The reservations were against the Panchayatraj Act, he said and informed that they will organize mandal level meetings on Panchayatraj elections. He said the Congress was ready to face the panchayatraj elections. He stated there was no address to the TRS party in villages. He asked the State government to tell as to why it was not making the comprehensive family survey report public. He demanded the State government to answer these questions. (NSS)
