Hyderabad: TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has said he will be addressing a letter to the State government requesting it to name a district after former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao. He said he was proud that PV was a son of Telangana soil.
Paying tributes to PV Narasimha Rao’s portrait on the occasion of his 97thbirth anniversary, Uttam said PV laid foundation for the development of the nation. PV had introduced economic reforms for development of the nation, he reminded. Earlier, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponnala Laxmaiah, Ponnam Prabhakar, Anjan Kumar Yadav and others paid tributes to the late Prime Minister at the PV Ghat today. (NSS)
