The Covid vaccine administration programme for children aged 12 to 14 years old began in Telangana on Wednesday, with Health Minister T Harish Rao initiating the effort at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Khairatabad.
The Telangana Health Department will deliver the Corbevax Covid vaccine, which is made by Hyderabad-based Biological E Limited and designed by researchers in Texas, United States, to nearly 17 lakh eligible youngsters aged 12 to 14 years.
I advise parents not to miss out on this fantastic opportunity to receive free Covid immunizations at all government health care facilities. Please do not get distracted because the Covid third wave was not as severe. We have no idea what shape the coronavirus will take in the following months. It’s always better to be safe than sorry. As a result, I urge parents to make the correct decision and get their children vaccinated as soon as possible,” Harish Rao said at the start of the Covid vaccination drive.
