A Under construction flyover collapsed in Varanasi, due to this accident 12 people killed and more than 50 persons are feared trapped under the debris of the flyover.
According to the officials the death toll could go up, many cars have been buried under the debris.
Flyover was being constructed under the Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation, rescue operation initiated to clear the debris of the flyover.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives in the incident and said that “Extremely saddened by the loss of lives due to the collapse of an under-construction flyover in Varanasi. I pray that the injured recover soon. Spoke to officials and asked them to ensure all possible support to those affected.”
