While addressing the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, he used the term “tribes” in reference to ancient human classifications, which led to backlash from Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities in Telangana who found the term offensive.
In response, the actor issued a clarification, stating that his usage was based on the term’s dictionary definition and was not meant to reference modern ST communities. He emphasized that his intention was to convey a message of peace, unity, and human progress. Expressing regret, he said he was sorry if his words hurt anyone.
